Summary
Xie Lian has had a rough decade, and now, having been given access to his high school reunion group chat he sees them share a meme, one poking fun at something he hand carved and was attempting to sell on his Etsy. Little does he know, this meme will (via the Shi Qingxuan to He Xuan pipeline) make its way to Hua Cheng, who recognizes the artist immediately not from the craftsmanship (or lack thereof) but the black-handled pocket knife beside it in the picture. One such knife that had once led to his hospitalization and the last time he had seen Xie Lian.
Could this be the start of a romance between Xie Lian and freelance artist San Lang? Or will Hua Cheng's various hidden identities and Xie Lian's past come back to haunt them?

Getou gave him a look of confusion. “Is something wrong?”
Satoru blinked again and continued, “What did you- did you just-“
At that Getou sighed, shaking his head with a smile of understanding. “You’re right, that was impolite. You know how it is, managing a company can be tough work.”
“And that involves breaking kneecaps?” he finally asked, voice hushed as he glanced at the girls.
This time that look of confusion didn’t cross Getou’s face. Instead, Satoru watched as his shoulders relaxed and the smile on his face widened, hands shifting into the pockets of his trousers.
“Who said anything about breaking kneecaps?”
Satoru’s shoulders dropped, his mouth going dry as he stared at Getou with wide eyes. “Are you seriously gaslighting me right now?”Teacher Satoru and may-or-may-not-be-apart-of-the-Yakuza Suguru.
