Hashirama just shrugs, a sad, resigned half-smile on his face as Madara says, “He took one of my roses.”
Something wells in Tobirama’s throat. “Anija…” he whispers. Hashirama reaches out and brushes their knuckles together.
“Anything for you, Tobi,” he says. Tobirama’s heart clenches. Anything for you.
“I presume a sincere apology will not suffice,” Tobirama says, finally looking back at Madara, who snorts.
“Your brother has beaten that horse to death,” he says. “No. It will not.”
“Fine,” Tobirama says, meeting Madara’s eyes and steeling himself. “Then I offer myself in his place.”
“What?!” Hashirama demands, outraged. “Otouto! No!”
The thing about Tobirama is, when he makes a promise, he sees it through.

Summary
Though he can get pretty feisty and argumentative sometimes, Tobirama isn't one to fight. Not really.
His default response is to back down and submit; to follow orders. He is the perfect soldier in that sense and it worries Madara sometimes. It is not to say that Tobirama is meek, but at the same time he is clearly scared of people – of their presence and their touch, but most of all their anger.
This type of fear doesn't come out of nowhere. It is something learnt, often at a terrible cost.

Summary

Madara’s mouth twitched into a half-snarl.
Tobirama could not help but focus on the curled lips that were licked wet during the other man’s frenzy.
“Can’t even look me in the eyes after insulting my manhood? I would tear you apart,” Madara sneered, “You could never handle me.”
The Senju tilted his head and leaned in close enough for Madara to feel the warmth of his breath."Prove it"

"Careful," a man said, smile sharp and full of teeth, sending Tobirama's pulse racing. "There's a wolf in these woods, eating travelers like you."
The man was dressed in dark clothes, a wild mane of dark hair. His dark eyes shone like well polished onyx and possessed the heat of red-hot coals. Tobirama's stomach fluttered. He was too close, and smelled of blood.
Tobirama drew back, putting space between them. A warning rumble bubbled up in his throat. "I do not fear wolves."
"Only a fool would disregard the danger of a bite." The stranger chomped his teeth in emphasis, but the act was more playful than aggressive. Combined with the predatory gleam in his eyes—which suggested he delighted in the folly of fools—Tobirama was certain this man was far more dangerous than any ordinary wolf.
a.k.a. Tobirama and Madara in a world where chakra isn't real, but werewolves are. And they definitely bite.
