Summary
Demon Emperor is a heavy metal band that's stepping into the spotlight. Although the entire band is good, the lead vocalist Luo Binghe is really the star! At least that's what Shen Yuan thinks, and will say as much to anyone who asks.
He just hasn't gone to see any of their shows because, well, he'd rather avoid as many awkward conversations in life as possible!
But when Shang Qinghua, his friend and second guitarist in the band, insists on him going to see at least one show, Shen Yuan folds. He'll just go, chat with Shang Qinghua a bit after, and go right home! Nothing else!

"Is something wrong, Shizun?"
What wasn't wrong? Binghe was out of the Abyss two years too early, and the plant bodies weren't ready, and Binghe had never been an omega in PIDW—which meant that whatever revenge scheme he had cooked up was so far outside of the original plot that there was no way for Shen Qingqiu to plan for it.
And then there was the fact that, despite everything, Shen Qingqiu couldn't stop noticing how good Binghe smelled.
In which Binghe is an omega (eventually), and Shen Qingqiu is an alpha (eventually), and they both manage to work things out. Eventually.

Summary
Being in another alpha’s territory should make Luo Binghe feel aggressive, should make him want to fight and claim the space as his. That’s certainly how it had been in the Abyss—a constant force of aggression, feeling out of control and feral, fighting tooth and claw to dominate. But the instincts inside him smell the alpha-scent of his childhood and croon mate in his ear instead.
Or: Luo Binghe, unable to keep himself away, sneaks back into Cang Qiong under the cover of night. Shen Qingqiu isn’t ready to have another alpha in his bed—and he’s even far less prepared for said alpha to be Luo Binghe, back far earlier than he expected.
