Zoro makes him eat all the tangerines, Zoro watches him sleep at night, counts his every breath, Zoro forces him to live with an unrelenting steel grip that feels more tight than a noose.He wraps Zoro in bandages, he holds out the flask of clean water until Zoro takes it, ignoring the pain thrumming through his arm, he calls Zoro’s name whenever he’s sinking into his thoughts again. Forces him to live with gentle touches and a softer voice, a bird chirping, reminding him of the next morning’s dawn.

Sanji tried to hold onto that kernel of hope as he curled up in the bed, but the perfume was still in his throat, and he could taste the liquor mixed in now. Fear nestled up as that little seed slipped away from him, too—but he relaxed into it. He was unable to resist his exhaustion any longer, and he turned on his side to stare dully at the doorknob, waiting for it to rattle, until he couldn't keep his eyes open.
It happened quick. After all, he knew fear. Unlike the feeling of the bed beneath him—it was familiar.

He needn't have worried. The small one was strong.
He sees the human many more times since then. It seems as if the herd doesn't venture out without it. He wonders if that one is the pack-leader. It seems logical, but humans are not always creatures of logic.
He forces back memories of that one, and continues to shadow the herd whenever it ventures out. He makes a habit of waiting in the small grouping of trees near the gate so as not to miss one of their outings. Eventually he learns to distinguish the small one from the others even before it takes to the air, and he feels proud of this accomplishment.
Months later, only hours after the humans had returned behind their walls, everything changes.
(In which Eren is not a human that can turn into a Titan, but a Titan that can turn into a human.)

Summary

As Dean is thrown into the world of the Krushnic mafia, he finds himself getting closer than ever to Castiel Krushnic himself. The Alpha seems to harbor a strange soft spot for Dean, one that grows more obvious and more confusing by the day. Suddenly, Dean has to wonder why the kindest person in his life is a mafia boss, and why said mafia boss is so dead-set on taking care of him.
It’ll take a very stubborn person to convince Dean he deserves that. It’s lucky Castiel Krushnic is a very stubborn man.
