Peter thinks that maybe Tony is tired of him and his issues, but that’s not fair to think. Tony cares more than he ever needed to. More than he was expected to. And to Peter, that’s the real failure. Tony was never meant to give a shit, he was never meant to carry burdens like this, he was never meant to try and fix something so broken. Peter wants him to give up and never try again, because these things are not math equations. They can’t be fixed like they are failed lines of code. Tony needs to stop caring and maybe Peter can start. Maybe Peter can fix himself.

Dead parents, aunt and uncle. It left him fostered by a man named Steven "Skip" Westcott and resulted in him being saved and adopted by Tony Stark. Tony had found the 11 year old boy chained to a bathtub and brought him to a hospital where it was revealed that Peter had in fact been raped by Skip. Tony also eventually found out that Peter got his spider abilities due to experiements from Skip.Peter struggles to recover from this, even years later, after seeing Skip was out of prison. This is a story of relapsing into trauma responses and recovery, while Peter also has to manage being Spider-Man and being a teenager with severe trauma.
