Summary
Bakool Ja Ja, two minds that share a body and an identity, has an existential crisis after meeting Zoraal Ja's abandoned son and gets drunk on the palace roof. Koana has to talk the Blessed Sibling pair down off the roof and clean up the mess they've made, and in the process discovers Bakool Ja Ja's poorly hidden crush on him.
From one drunken conversation, consequences ensue - across species, size, hierarchy, experience, and a *lot* of daddy issues.

“He’s nice, his dog is well behaved, the apartment is insane, and he has a very set schedule. It’s not a daily gig, it’s kind of random. You have to stay at his place in the Upper West Side a few times a week, but again, the apartment is amazing. He’s some kind of athlete? So the schedule is also nuts. But he gives, like, six months of dates in advance.” Maria answers.
A set schedule of dates works for Kip, who is, these days, trying to make his own schedule.
“And,” Maria smiles wide, “I think you’ll like him.”
That beatific expression will come back to him, five days later, when he meets Scott Hunter for the first time.

Sanji doesn’t have anything like that. After Whiskey Peak, Usopp is pretty sure Sanji is beating himself up for it pretty badly for failing to notice the trap, and he won't tell himself any lies about it to soften the blow, or the marks the ropes leaf behind on their skins.

Summary

As they unravel a royal conspiracy, Emmrich and Lucanis' trust and friendship gradually become something more: something worth living for.
