Summary
Price retires from the military and tries to adjust to regular civilian life. Then social workers knocking at his door tell him he has a daughter. Max has had a rough couple years. After being sent to an abusive teen therapy camp, leading a revolt, then spending some time on the run, juvie feels like just another prison. She's considered a rough around the edges youth, too smart for her own good. With a history of trouble, she's sure her father will run the other way.
Title is a work in progress, open to any suggestions!
I can't believe I have to clarify this but: The main character is sixteen, younger in flashbacks, there will be NO romance plot with any task force members or any older adults/young adults. There might be romance plots with future teenage characters of similar age.
I haven't written in a long time, so might not be my best work, open to any constructive criticism.
Is this fic a cry for help? Probably. Am I sprinkling a tiny bit of my own trauma into this? Definitely. Ignore my issues (:
I do not own Call Of Duty or their characters, I'm just borrowing them for awhile.

Hiccup finally doesn't have to prove to anyone that he is better than everyone else. The weight off his shoulders seems to lift. He forgets pretty much everyone on Berk, but not everyone. He has everything he thought he wanted, but there's always that nagging feeling that he's forgetting something.
No one will ever just disappear. There will always be someone to remember you until the day they die.

However, he doesn’t, and it shows through each of his actions — he should know better than to expect the best outcome, and know that life’s lemons hold no juice, that the pith is thick and bitters the rest of it. There is no lemonade to be made, nor can the zest be used either. Truly nothing culinarily good can come from it.
So, instead, Jim makes use of said fateful fruit by pelting his enemies, too bitter and sour himself, and always a bit of Toby's shadow.
After resetting the timeline, Jim does not resume being the Trollhunter. A calculated risk he's taken. Of course, he sets a new timeline in motion with that one choice of not being Merlin's chosen trollhunter. He's made ripples in the past, and events that might not be able to be altered.
What will await them at the end of the world?
