    Summary

The Lord Stark looked down upon him clad in a heavy fur cape ladened with silver chains. His eyes resembled the blues of a crystalline lake– cold as the North. Even more so gazing at the flame that was Aerion. Burning hotter and hotter still as he stood firm against the eyes that seemed to swallow him whole.

    They had met once.

    Only once.

When their youth still showed on their cheeks, and the years had treated them kinder than any war ever could. When the summer sun threatened to melt the young northerner, and when pale locks seemingly glowed iridescent when waves of golden light shone through leaves.

When Aerion Targaryen, the Brightflame, was promised to Duncan Stark of Winterfell.

    Summary

As is well known, the last dragon to walk the earth died many years ago, taking with it the quality that made House Targaryen seem almost divine.
Yet this truth is not as absolute as history books might have led us to believe.
    -
Dunk has never seen a dragon before.

He knew, of course, they existed. Anyone in Kingslanding did. Yet despite having been born in flea bottom, he had never once catch a glimpse of those scaly creatures. Dragons seem unreachable, creatures of stories and legends not something you could see everyday.

He never bothered much to think about them; after all, what were the chances of encountering a Targeryen while being a hedge knight?

    OR

What if dragon never truly disappeared from Westeros? Just learned to wear human flesh?
Lets find out how much of a menace could Aerion be if he actually had wings and scales.

    Summary

Aerion Targaryen - also known as Brightflame - was dead certain that he was a dragon in human form. So, the absolute logical next step in his mind was to drink wildfire. He just needed some heat to start his transformation, right?

    Nope.

That fateful day, Aerion died screaming, burning from the inside.
    Death came as a salvation.

He almost made peace with it. What he didn't expect was to be sent back to the past, with no piece of advice or a single word from the gods. Was this simply a test? Or another chance at life to alter his fate? Aerion had no idea. But he was absolutely sure about one thing; he would make a certain hedge knight's life a living hell - the man who ruined everything.

(...Let's just say things aren't going in the way Aerion wants them to...)

    Summary

Dunk didn’t mean to become a dragon. Really, he didn’t. He had meant to join the Ashford Tourney, to win himself a small sliver of honor and glory, and to show the world what Ser Arlan’s gnarled hand had wrought.

Instead, he ran afoul a witch, got himself two damn flapping tents for hands and a tail that did not know how to stop moving.

Not to mention the damn prince on his heels. He did not want to be ridden, damn it!

    Summary

From his booted feet to his head, Aerion followed every visible inch of Dunk’s form with a silent, feline-like curiosity, as if seeing him as a mouse and sizing him up for a meal. It felt like an age before his eyes fell upon Dunk’s face, searching his dirtied cheeks and the blue of his eyes as if watching the clouds and consulting the weather, or checking the sky for signs of some foul sort of omen. When their eyes met at last, Aerion’s cockiness fell from his features swiftly as if Dunk had backhanded it from his face. His swagger faltered, and then his hackles were up, his lips pulling into a snarl.

“I shall withdraw my accusation if the oaf swears an oath of fealty to me and becomes my sworn sword.”
