The wet, squelching sound echoing through the door and the hot, stabbing pain shooting up his leg were becoming unbearable.
Jon was not sure how much longer he would be able to endure it. All his limbs felt both thick and heavy, and light and fuzzy at the same time; head was stuffed with over-warm cotton. There were pinpricks in his face and fingertips and he wasn't sure if it was from the pain, the adrenaline, or the CO2.
