I read Chapter 202 and was very disappointed and frustrated that Lenalee did not attempt to go see Allen while he was imprisoned. As a matter of fact, while Allen is locked up, chained, and refuses to eat or talk, Lenalee is in the dining hall with the others, not making any effort to find Allen. She is, albeit, very torn and concerned about what's happening in general, but I was very unhappy that her character didn't make any effort to get to Allen or find out what's going on with him. What happened to her uber-concern for him? This is a different Lenalee than the one I've come to know, especially when it comes to Allen. SO! I am going to rectify it somehow, at least for myself in my own mind, by writing what I would like to have seen happen.

Summary
For those who have read my handful of stories, whether DGM-related or not, you know that I don't like to write AU's (others are really good at it but it's not my personal preference). I like to keep my fics within the same realm/time/space so that it tries to fit in with what's currently going on as much as possible, even if it's just a little window of time in between scenes from the manga or anime. But, I saw this fan art of chibi-Allen and chibi-Lenalee sitting together and it made me think of this little story. This doesn't happen in the actual DGM universe so please excuse the events that I'm going to make happen but I will try to keep it as faithful to the characters as possible.

This takes place at DGM Manga Chapter 205, page 29 and onward. One-shot. The dialogue is slightly different than the one offered in the scanlations that are out there. Truth of the matter is, the dialogue in here is actually more accurate (well, more literal) than the one in the scanlations on mangareader and mangastream. The translator admitted to playing up the drama a bit and so he changed around the sentence structure a little (especially in the "I love…you, and everyone else at the Order" muck up. That's not what Allen says or how he says it. What is written here is the closer, literal translation).

Summary
This is just a one shot. I just watched again the episode where Kenshin leaves for Kyoto and says his farewell to Kaoru (so hard to watch but so beautiful) and I needed to write something.
This takes place just after Kenshin, Sano and Aoshi return from defeating Shishio Makoto. Kenshin was being practically carried by Sano and was near death when they finally reached the Aoiya. He's recuperating at this point.
