Josuke stops Okuyasu in the school hallway, they need to talk. A while back, while rolling one, Josuke blurted out that he likes a guy and the topic hangs in the air. At their spot, combat boots crush a failed daisy wreath, cigarette ashes fall. A downpour begins, trickle of blood washes away. They both need to breathe in. It's hard to communicate true feelings.
Okuyasu and Josuke reflect on the difficulties of friendship and emotions.

In the middle of the night, Josuke wakes up covered in cold sweat. He can't catch his breath and stop his limbs from shaking. Biting his lip, he dials Okuyasu's number and squeezes the phone to his cheek. A few seconds pass. Okuyasu shambles barefoot to the living room. He picks up like he always does. Oku doen't get mad at him for asking him to come sleep over. These days Josuke feels calm only when Okuyasu's close.
Josuke reflects on his relationship with Okuyasu and his messy being.
