Summary
The Father Above gave Aemond broad shoulders that he may carry his burdens but King Viserys' decision to betroth the recently blossomed Princess Lucerys with himself is a burden too far. The King decides that Aemond will marry the omega that stole his eye and a trueborn to a known bastard, it is more than an insult, it is blasphemy and Aemond will not allow it to occur.
He does not dream like his sister, nor hold the future close in hand like his brother's but he does listen to his gut. Aemond listens to the voice in the back of his head and he leaps towards his destiny.
He leaves.

Summary
All had assumed that King Viserys was a man blinded by love and did not care if his daughter and heir Princess Rhaenyra flouted the rules of etiquette and high society. However, that was far from the truth. Viserys wished to be the King to bring back the glory of Valyria and there is nothing he won't do to ensure that his line remains pure but it seems his daughter holds no such values and is content with bringing his plans to ruin.
-
King Viserys Targaryen, first of his name knew that the gods had blessed his rule when they sent a vision of a tree bearing many fruit with the same beauty and sweet flesh. His love for his daughter is pushed to its limits when she returns to the Crownlands with a request, she wishes to bind in marriage her sibling's lines to her own specifically the ones who bear the name Velaryon. Bookmarker's Notes
TV Show vibes but avoids any conversation about House Velaryon in favour of the pairing. It's okay, does some interesting stuff but the treatment of the assumed Black people is meh in the later chapters. Typical anti-black, Targaryen supremacy kinda vibes, generally 5/10 and the pairing itself is more so 7/10 though Aemond lacks some agency and religion is treated in a derisive manner.

Summary
“Where is Ser Laenor, I wonder? The boys’ father? Perhaps he might have something to say in the matter.”
“Yes, where is Ser Laenor?”
“I,” Rhaenyra began, her determination withering as the eyes all around them – all focused on her and her sons – burned on her face. She floundered before the truth, and the need to lie, but strained to hide it. “I do not know, Your Grace. I could—”
“Here, Your Grace.” Those watching eyes all turned as they looked to find the named knight, her ‘husband’ suddenly there.

Bookmarker's Notes
Treatment of House Velaryon feeds somewhat into antiblackness especially the characterisation of Corlys as a father but also a Black and portrayed to be homophobic. Could say I'm surprised but I'm not, the other parts are better. No real critique of Rhaenyra or her embodiment of white women privilege and just a lot of fix-it at the expense of the medieval setting. Mediocre but that is to be expected, can be read in future for interesting ideas but the manifestation of those ideas of such in verse is left wanting.

Hmmm the only black people are black girls who are the bitchy black girl stereotype. Was good until then and interesting but clearly antiblack. -10/10

Summary
In a single night on Driftmark, the ever-embroiled Targaryen dynasty reached a breaking point. King Viserys, desperate to quell the growing rift within his family, decreed the betrothal of the two younger princes, Aemond Targaryen and Lucerys Velaryon; a union born of both retribution and an attempt to bind his fractured family.
As both princes have come of age, King Viserys has not forgotten his word and calls for the long-awaited hand fasting. Ten years had passed since the incident that cost Aemond an eye at Luke's hand, simmered with old grievances and overlapping loyalties. But beneath the surface of wounds and smoldering hatred, a different kind of fire burns.

Bookmarker's Notes
Typical antiblack fanfic, black man has to die for white person to get Driftmark. Don't read triggering for Black death and lack of care given to Black bodies, also relegated Baela and Rhaena to cheerleaders for the white people. Astaghfirullah

Summary
In the midst of his heat, Jacaerys Velaryon approaches Aemond Targaryen with a tempting offer. Well, it might have been tempting had it come from literally anyone else.
“You are a nightmare,” Jacaerys sighed, and Aemond could no longer resist the urge to laugh, parting his lips in a vicious grin, teeth sharp and eyes glittering with malice.
“I’m your nightmare now,” he said. “Bound by blood and soon by bond and vow. That was your bargain, Jacaerys. Your scheme, and now, your problem. I suggest you fix it, and quickly, for if I find myself pledged to some Lannister idiot five times removed from the rock, I will hold you personally responsible.” His smile widened, growing deadly. “And who’s to say what I might do then.”
Jacaerys, much to Aemond’s surprise, suddenly looked rather amused—as if following some private joke. He leaned in just a little closer, the scent of salt, smoke, and pine following close behind.
“It’s Jacaerys, now is it?” He asked. “What happened to ‘bastard’?”
Alpha! Jace/Omega! Aemond but make it toxic✨

Bookmarker's Notes
Really good up until the final chapters then they use black people as Canon fodder. Very uncomfortable, only read up until chapter 19/20 if you're avoiding black death.
