Then pirates attacked the merchant ship you were on, and their red-haired Captain took you out of your cell to bring you on his own ship, showing you respect and kindness.
Which was... weird. Unusual at the very least. Even if he had no idea what you were capable of.
Shanks was just elated to rescue a pretty lady, and wow, she really had an amazing voice on top of that.
