Summary
Bruce Wayne, solitario, desconfiado, agotado por una ciudad que no cambia, presencia lo imposible: un hombre flota frente a él, sin cables, sin trucos, sin explicación. Superman ha llegado. No el de su mundo, sino uno que jamás debió cruzar el umbral.
Viene de otro universo. Uno con reglas distintas. Un lugar donde, según su lógica, Bruce debería ser su alma gemela.
Pero en esta Gotham no hay destino, ni esperanza, ni lugar para mitos.

Bruce Wayne, lonely, distrustful, and worn down by a city that never changes, witnesses the impossible: a man flies in front of him, no wires, no tricks, no logical explanation. Superman has arrived. Not as the man from Bruce's world, but as a figure who shouldn’t have crossed the threshold.
He hails from a different universe, one with different rules. A place where, according to his logic, Bruce is meant to be his soulmate.
But in this Gotham, there is no destiny, there is no hope. In his home there's no room for myths.

He does not expect Gotham’s tabloids to decide he and Bruce Wayne are secretly together. But after one too many headlines about Bruce Wayne’s “mysterious co-parent,” pretending to date starts seeming like the easiest solution.
That would probably be less of a problem if Clark wasn’t already half in love with him.

He sighed to himself and downed the glass of champagne he'd been nursing—non-alcoholic, but enough to convince anyone who might give him a passing glance. He hated this, every time he had to do it. There was one surefire way to derail anyone who began wondering whether maybe Bruce Wayne was doing more than just donating funds to Batman.
His tie hung loose around his neck, shirt unbuttoned to halfway down his chest, laughing too easily, pressing close to everyone he spoke to, whispering in ears, playing the part, until he turned and froze on the spot.
Clark Kent, in his signature ill-fitting suit, stood holding a notebook and pen, staring at him with barely-concealed glee.
Bruce cringed internally. He hated this. He especially hated when it had to be witnessed by someone he actually respected.
or: After a Gala, Bruce and Clark end up in bed together. They're friends, just helping each other out, no strings attached. Which would be great, if Bruce hadn't been halfway to head-over-heels since the day they met.
