Haddie Kaur and Samir Khamsir are worlds apart, separated by both space and time. Haddie is always rushing headlong towards danger, trying to find a way escape the Entity’s clutches. Samir lives a dangerous life on a dusty rimworld, on the run from mercenary ex-employers out for his head.
When a chance encounter brings Samir in contact with the Entity’s dark world just as Haddie desperately seeks a way to break free, the two are set on a collision course that throws the trials into chaos. There are worse fates than death in the Entity’s world, and if the two are not able to find a way out together, there will be no second chance.
