    Clearly, friends are all Naruto wants to be – even in spite of the way he kisses his way up Sasuke's body, touching him like lovers do.

    It feels like something akin to worship. It feels an awful lot like love.

    But it can't be.

    Because how could it be love when Naruto has always refused to acknowledge it? He'd chase Sasuke to the ends of the earth and back forever, but he wouldn't call that love. It's always just "because you're my friend". And Sasuke is sick of it.

    Possibly my favorite Narusasu ever. The writing is just so good. I want my memory erased so I can read it again for the first time.
    I always love a slow progression and time skips that leave room for character development. Distance makes the heart grow fonder, and isn't that specially true for these two?
