The warning was there, they had time to make it out. When the power went out without a moment’s notice followed by the water disappearing shortly after, Seonghwa knew that his screaming instincts weren’t to be ignored like his roommate told him. The portable radio they used only screamed static except for the occasional alarming words that no one believed because it was April 1st and it was all supposedly a big prank.
That’s all it was, right? Some big prank? That’s what Seonghwa’s roommate told him at least, but look where his roommate was now.

Seeing Chanyoung with his mouth shut tight and his back turned, a sigh escaped Sungchan's lips before he realized it. Then Chanyoung, who had only been showing him his back, suddenly turned to look at him before lowering his head. Seeing his fairly broad shoulders trembling ever so slightly, Sungchan realized that Chanyoung was crying.
He never learned exactly why Chanyoung had been crying that day. However, there was one clear change that began from that moment onward.
“If it’s going to be like this, then let’s just break up.”
Those words—let’s break up—started coming from Lee Chanyoung’s mouth.

Harua can see Yuma's brows furrow as he takes the last sentence in, the same way he does in math class when he doesn't understand something and is waiting for an equally confused Harua to give him the solution.

I didn't think it was possible until it kept happening with a bunch of people I didn't know, and then I saw those same people in real life, and it took me months to understand it but now I do. I meet people in my dreams. I share these dreams with them. And this time… it's you."
It's not that complicated. Harua sees real people in his dreams and has to help them solve whatever problem they're having. He would even go as far as to say he's gotten pretty good at it and can manage to help about anyone. He wasn't expecting his next "client" to be his ex-best friend Yuma who hasn't spoken to him in months, that's all.

Red string, soulmates, star-crossed lovers, whatever you want to call it, all of it ties him inextricably to Nicholas in ways he isn’t ready to admit on a random October night in the middle of a club. He’s not feeling it anymore; the atmosphere that had once afforded him the chance to forget and numb himself now pressed into him, making him panic as his eyes finally found Maki near the front of the stage. He wasn’t looking at the stage, too wrapped up in the bunny-like boy centimeters away from him to be paying attention. Euijoo hated to ruin his fun, but he had to leave. He had to leave now.
