Summary
“No Neji, it’s you who are suffering. Much more than I am. I can see it.”
Neji’s eyes darkened. The proctor was ready to intervene at a moment's notice, along with every Leaf jonin in the arena. A dead Hyuga heiress would be bad. A dead Hyuga heiress at the hands of a Branch member would be catastrophic.
He lunged towards her.
The room burst into chaos.
Every jonin pounced instinctively, clawing with every muscle to hold the boy back, but Neji was frozen in place, rigid as a stick. Hinata’s hands came up in a defensive strike, eyes blazing with confidence as she focused her chakra. A moment later Neji collapsed into the harsh embrace of the teachers with a nauseating scream.
“MY HEAD! MY HEAD!! S-STOP IT! P-PLEASE! STOP!!” -

Summary
In the end it took very little for Neji Hyuuga to become a missing nin. It was the smallest, most insignificant things, really. It was watching his 9 year old cousin, Shion, stop blowing bubbles.
Where Neji confronts his idea of fate, emulates Itachi Uchiha, and burns the Hyuuga main branch to the ground. In no particular order.

Summary
One thing leads to another, and Zoro finds himself settling down there in the warm of the sun, leaning his back into the sandbags and rationalizing that the others will wake him if he’s needed.
He doesn’t mean to fall asleep in earnest. He just underestimated how fucking tired he was, and what should have been a light nap to pass the time ultimately becomes a whole affair, all because of some nosy fucking Marines.

Luffy scoots closer to him; before he realizes what he’s done, Zoro’s shifted himself further down the bow, maintaining the space between them. Luffy pauses, spoon halfway to his mouth. Ice cream drips onto his shorts.
Zoro looks down at the dark water below. “So you haven’t ever wanted to be with someone?”
“I am with you — right now, silly.”
“No. Like…in bed and stuff.”
“I sleep in your bed all the time.”
“No, I—” Zoro runs his fingers through his hair, frustrated. “I meant sex, Luffy. You’ve never wanted to have sex at all?”
“I dunno, Zoro,” Luffy says, brow furrowing in exasperation. “I don’t think about it.”

Summary
None of them called him the "ship's omega." It wasn't... really like that. A lot of ships had omega crewmates whose station was defined by their secondary sex, or at the least who joined up knowing what their job was among a shipful of pirates out to sea for weeks at a time.
Zoro was not that.
He wasn't a friend with benefits or a glorified servant or even one of the so-called Crewman Os who had their own jobs and stations but lay down and made their bodies available when a crewmate needed it. He was just... Zoro.

"What do I smell like?"
"Damned if I know," the warlord breathed, shoving the swordsman down so he could pull his damned coat off, yank his haramaki over his head. "You're the first person who's ever smelled this good and I want to eat you alive."
Zoro's breath caught. Not in the way Law expected, not in one of the many gasps of pleasure he'd already pulled out of the other man. His brows were high when Law's gaze returned to his face, his working eye just a little wide. Law felt a sudden heat rush up his throat and into his face.
"Shut up," he mumbled, moving back to work off Zoro's boots (to break eye contact).
The younger man's swallow was audible.
"...Nobody's smelled as good as you, either."

Summary
For a while, this is as close as they get to any sort of argument: Zoro growling at him like a rabid dog, deadlocked into a staring contest that Mihawk, for the first time, might actually lose.
Perona finally breaks the silence. "Urgh! I've had it with you--emotionally constipated sword freaks!" she fumes with a petulant stomp of her cherry boots. "Fine! If you two won’t talk about it, then I’ll do it for you!" She extends her hands. "Negative Hollow!"
Twin translucent specters erupt from her palms. Mihawk effortlessly swats away the pest -- but Zoro, only halfway to his mastery of haki and ambushed from his freshly-carved blind spot, is not quite so fortunate.
Zoro crumples to his hands and knees. “I don't deserve to have you as my father.”
Perona gasps. Zoro petrifies, and Mihawk thinks, distantly, that this is what it would feel like to take a sword to the chest.
“As your what?”

Summary
Luffy looks again at the bitemarks that he left on Zoro’s wrist. Zoro’s usually hurt, one way or another. Sometimes it’s definitely been Luffy’s fault too, but the bitemarks feel different. They ain’t like normal bruises or cuts. There’s something about seeing the shape of his teeth in Zoro’s skin. Something about the colors, the slightly paler insides of Zoro’s wrists, and the blueness of his veins, and the dark pink color of where Luffy bit him.

“Zoro—”
“Did you know?” he repeats, desperate, and Luffy just looks at him. And he wonders, then, how much of this has been preordained—how much of this is real, how much of this is him. How much of what he’s felt since they were wedged side-to-side in a shitty wooden boat on the East Blue has actually mattered, and how much has been the universe pressing him down into the mold of someone else's heart.
And then Luffy is gripping his horns, bringing his forehead down to meet his, repeating, “Zoro? Zoro?” like his name is a mantra, like he’s gone somewhere far away and gotten lost on his way back.
And Zoro blinks at him, then, and sees both of them at once—both of them—and he grips Luffy’s face in his own hands (claws) and presses his lips (violent, full of teeth) against his. Because this is who he has been waiting a thousand years for, the brightest and most beautiful of them all, the one thing he could never have—could never see, not if (Luffy, Joyboy, Nika) had made different (worse) choices—the thing that could never thrive in the darkness, just like he could never (has been unable to for centuries) survive without it—

When Sanji sees the new dishboy's half-tiger swordsman, lying with four great paws neatly tucked in, navigating silverware with practiced caution around long claws while his steak bleeds on the plate, he stops. The late morning sunlight plays over stripes and turns the orange flaming, and Sanji remembers the exact night Zeff told a story from an island on the Grand Line about people part animal, not fishmen or minks or mermaids, but something else – something hidden.
