Summary
The thought of a small fledgeling so very in their own likeness, is a bittersweet thing. Summary
A smoky gas puffs into Neuvllette's face. He inhales the powdery sweet scent of it before he can stop himself, chokes on it, and thrusts the box away from himself, hacking and coughing. He wheezes, shoving away from his desk and to his feet. His eyes water. His nose burns.
It is nearly ten, and he has an appointment with Wriothesley then.
His heart beats a little faster. His breath comes a little harder, a little sharper. Warmth washes through him.
When Neuvillette accidentally inhales an aphrodisiac, he turns to Wriothesley for assistance.

“Stanley,” the Narrator says warily, watching the other stumble through the kitchen, pulling open the fridge, “Are you drunk?”
Stanley freezes. There’s another curse, this time louder, and he slowly looks away from the Narrator, fist clenching around the door handle. “Nnnno…?”
Or: the Narrator has to deal with a very drunk (and very honest) Stanley for the night

Summary
When Stanley pulls away from him, the Narrator pants, eyelids lowering. Perhaps he should find it embarrassing how he’s so wound up from a single kiss, but the hunger in Stanley’s eyes dispels any thought of the sort. He knows he’s just as desperate.
"Careful," come Stanley’s taunting thoughts, pushed to the forefront of his mind so the Narrator can hear them loud and clear. "If you keep your mouth open like that, I just might have to put it to better use."
