It should have ended there. A small mistake, a simple typo in the outdated script of the Avenger, sorry, the Defender of Tomorrow against the Machine Herald – the name itself marked him out as a villain, no need to add to it. No one knew and no one needed to know. They themselves had no desire to dwell on it. So don't change the music, repeat the same almost pointless clashes, the same fights, the insults and the rest.
Try, at least. Because if the first confrontation had been a little weird, the others just seemed to be like before. Yeah, they still threw the same sarcastic remarks at each other and they fought. But up close. Closer and closer, until they came to blows. No weapons, no lasers, no gadgets that explode or create force fields: just their bare hands and bared teeth.
.......After one night, one mistake in their old laboratory, Jayce realises that Viktor and he cannot be just enemies. But he finds a very toxic way to deal with his loss, sinking deeper and deeper until he begins to understand Viktor's way of thinking a little.

Viktor´s new body is certainly... unique.
"Do you feel me?" He whispers. His eyes land on the glowing crevices, little and shallow slits on his skin that glowed and pulsed. Consumed and entranced by them, long fingers moved from his hip to the narrow fissure above it. It seemed to react to his touch, its pulsating glow intensifying and emitting a strange, energetic, eerie sound.
Jayce slides his ring and middle fingers along the curve and, in one single motion, pushes them in.

Summary
The whole situation seemed like something out of a really bad softcore porn paperback- the kind that your grandmother would have sitting innocently on her shelf with some depiction of a ripped young man on the cover making eyes with whoever was unfortunate to pick it up.

Summary
Jayce Talis stands at the door of a narrow rowhouse on Emberflit Alley. The alley’s heat presses against him like a damp hand, fog curling in greasy ribbons that blur the crooked lamps. Somewhere down the way, a gate creaks on its hinges, the sound thin and hollow in the haze. He has grown more comfortable making his way here alone than he was on that first uneasy trip when Viktor led him down these streets.
Viktor clings to his independence and rarely asks for help, which Jayce is more than happy to encourage. Still, there are some things Viktor cannot do on his own, and when he asked Jayce to carry a heavy box of parts back to his house, Jayce accepted without comment or judgment. Since then, he has only returned at Viktor’s invitation.
Today is different. Today, he comes uninvited, pulse tight in his throat, because something in him will not let go of the feeling that something is wrong.

Jayce’s got very warm hands. They feel good on Viktor’s shoulders when the other man leans in to look at Viktor’s latest breakthrough. He’s got this lovely habit of leaning right over him as Viktor speaks, caging him between his arms as he lowers himself to look at whatever Viktor’s showing him. He often lowers himself so much that when he speaks he’s right beside Viktor’s ear. He then whispers his amazement, a smile in his voice.
