Summary
It sounds like a joke about wizards that the comedian downstairs would tell, but it’s true that Gale smells like a library. Rory breathes him in and feels that she is somewhere safe, and quiet, and full of endless potential.
Gale gets wooed and wowed. A little magic goes a long way, and a mortal body isn't such a bad thing after all.

Summary
Petra and Gale are more than a little clumsy in the ways that they love, both having their own significant dry spell when it comes to romance and sexual desires. And while the two have shared themselves within the weave, Petra has made a simple request to share their physical bodies as well- wanting her share of the traditional as much as the untraditional. Gale is eager to fulfill any request she'd make of him, but simple requests and gestures always seem to become decidedly more complicated and grand when the wizard starts working his magic.

Really, it was inevitable she was going to slip up at some point. When you’re travelling with a group of people who are psychically connected by mind-flayer tadpoles, somewhere along the line, someone is going to accidentally read someone’s mind.
But did it have to be him? And did it have to be that?

The body knows more than the mind ever will.
And Gale’s body is demanding some pretty sordid things.Or
Our group of adventurers find refuge in a druidic sanctuary untouched by gods, where Gale meets Temple, a tiefling Druid, who challenges everything he thought he knew about himself.
Takes place in Act 3.

Slow burn, and becoming a lot longer and more detailed than this writer expected. I apparently can’t just write some good old fashioned smut. I have to make it devastating first. Torture first, sex later.
My grad school project had a focus on body memory and I haven’t gotten over it. Please come suffer the way I did.Bookmarked by Winewithdandelion

Summary
Born beneath whispers and raised on suspicion, The Dark Urge learned early that love is often optional in a cruel world—and that survival, more often than not, demands something sharper than wit.
Long before she was ever named the Savior of Baldur’s Gate, she was a cursed child: feared by those around her, rejected by the one meant to protect her, and stalked by a hunger she could neither name nor master.
In the years that followed, The Dark Urge became many things—some chosen, some forced upon her: prodigy, exile, weapon, thief, lover, hero. She walked the fragile line between salvation and ruin, fought battles both divine and personal.
And beneath it all, constant and unyielding, was the truth of her making.Series

Summary
THE SHADOWS is the second part of my semi-canonical trilogy. It's story-driven, romantic, smutty and very angsty, with healthy doses of comedy and silly camp dynamics topping it off. POV is half and half between Tav and Gale, with flashbacks, as well as narrative attention paid to non-ship characters and their interconnecting dynamics. Since it's semi-canonical, you do not ~have~ to read The Wilderness to read The Shadows, but I did work very hard on it, so give it a go sometime, if not before this one!
Some favorites from the comments:
- "...really shows the horror of what they're facing, and just how tempting it is to use the tadpoles"
- "SO good, absolutely brilliant rollercoaster of emotions"
- "...the smut oh man the smut, that was incredible, so hot and charming and so very them."
- "filthy and wholesome at the same time. I just loved their banter and how they could still be silly in the heat of the moment."
- "You are illegally good at writing, this was incredible and I'm starting to think you made some kind of bargain with a hag to obtain such amazing skills."
- "You have captured the characters' tones and dynamics so perfectly. This is a feast and yet I'm hungry for more!"Series

Summary
Gale returns to Waterdeep, to the woman he barely knows but has been betrothed to for two decades, leaving behind a heartbroken Tav in Baldur's Gate.
----
The parchment is expensive. Tav runs her fingertips over the wax seal and hesitates; she knows what this is. She is not surprised that it is happening, she is, however, surprised at being included in some way. Perhaps, she allows herself, she had hoped it wouldn't be so soon. (She has already put to bed the part of herself that had hoped it would not happen at all.) Gale had, after all, been very clear - and devastatingly gentle - in his explanation.

Summary
Vi narrowed her eyes a fraction, mischief tugging at the corner of her mouth. “And - your real name.”
His cheeks hollowed beautifully as he sucked a breath, expression flickering with surprise, doubt, curiosity, and finally. Respect.
“Doctor Gale Dekarios,” he admitted. “And you are?”
Game. Set. Match.
“Captain Violante Calder.” She grasped his hand. “Welcome to the Eurydice.”
When his skin finally touched hers, the electricity fried every nerve. Her gaze locked to his, and for a moment, she forgot everything - the deal, the crew, the illegal cargo. Then the heat she’d desperately been ignoring finally broke through, roaring and undeniable.
Gods, he might be the most infuriating man she’d ever met. But she also wanted him biblically.

Summary
A wizard falls into a waypoint. This is not the beginning of a joke, though Gale Dekarios would be the first to admit it has all the hallmarks of one.
He had a plan. The plan involved a remote location, a dignified end, and perhaps a final vintage of wine before the literal bomb in his chest ferried him to the Fugue Plane. It did not involve getting abducted, a parasite in his eye, or a woman who hoards everything and nothing with her forsaken bag of holding.
And yet.
His only hope for survival is currently prying the floorboards from a blighted apothecary. Gale is, apparently, following her.

Gale Dekarios does not come to Greyvale Manor looking for ghosts. He comes to outrun one. Recently widowed after his wife, Mystra, died in a devastating fire, he buries himself in science to explain grief, memory, and everything the mind refuses to release. When the mysterious owner of Greyvale invites him to investigate claims of paranormal activity, Gale accepts, hoping to rebuild his career and escape the shadow that still follows him.
He is not the only one summoned. Other researchers, sceptics, and professionals arrive, each carrying secrets and fears of their own. Among them is Sameera, a reluctant medium who has spent her life seeing what others refuse to face. From the moment she enters, she knows what the others do not.
Greyvale is not simply haunted. It is aware. It listens. It remembers.
Inside a house haunted not only by death but by everything the living bring with them, each of them must confront something far more terrifying than spirits:
The parts of themselves the manor refuses to let them escape.

Summary
So, it is in the library that Gale now sits, listening with practiced indifference, to the back and forth between his mother and Tara; Tara demands that Gale be afforded time to rest following ‘his ordeal’, whereas his mother insists he is in dire need of companionship. Gale has no inclination towards either; his initial hope of the squabble running its course on its own, however, dwindles the longer it goes on. He supposes, after-all, that having had just over two tendays without such a conversation was more than he could have hoped for.

Unable to find orgasm with a partner, Gale commissions the services of a reputable escort to take him through the ropes (heh) of kink and sexual play. What he doesn’t count on is for him and his escort to have earth-shattering chemistry.
“Hhhhhhnnnnnngggggggg.”
“Oh.” Astarion floats into Gale’s bleary vision as his gaze drifts down from the ceiling. Riding crop in hand, Astarion grins like a fool, his eyes sparkling with a joy so fierce as to be frightening. “You’re such a good boy. Do you need to safe-word, darling?”
“N..no, sir,” Gale gasps.

Sleep does not come easily these days. Not that Tav isn’t tired; she is, desperately so. But, between the intrusive visitor in her dreams, the parasite threatening to end her life, and the handsome – not to mention extraordinarily chatty – wizard who won’t leave her thoughts, sleep has become a luxury she fears she may never fully enjoy again.

THE WILDERNESS is the first part of my kinda-canonical BG3 retelling. The Bardweave Trilogy is a story-driven, angsty, slow-build, sometimes smutty, fantasy/adventure romance with healthy doses of comedy and ensemble dynamics. PoV is half and half between Tav and Gale, with flashbacks, as well as plenty of attention paid to non-ship characters and their interconnecting relationships.
Some favorites from the comments:
- "You’ve captured their voices and mannerisms so well; even though it’s a story I know, it’s told from a fresh perspective."
- "Gale was my first romance and this is bringing me right back to the magic of that first playthrough."
- "The interwoven stories of Tav's revenge and Gale's love and loss is haunting and intriguing. And the romance is superb."
- "ELMINSTER THANK GOD (never thought id say that)"
- "and now emotionally destroyed. Roll a D6 for emotional damage."
- "My heart has now not only been broken… but crushed into dust. And blown away into the Fugue Plane."Series

Gale nodded, his head turned toward her though his eyes were covered. “I shall be as still as stone. May I inquire as to the… program, as it were, for this evening?”
“I thought perhaps you'd enjoy this in the form of one of your favorite pursuits,” she answered, adjusting the blindfold.
“And what would that be?”
“A lecture, of course. You're going to learn a great deal about the theory of musical sound tonight.”
“Will I, now?” he asked, quietly intrigued.
“There will be substantial demonstrations involved, of course.”
Or, bard gently doms wizard with a lecture on musical sound. They both learn something.

Summary
Evie and Gale seem to have failed in their mission to get along. If they’re not ignoring each other, they’re arguing. The journey to Baldur’s Gate has made them uneasy allies but hardly good friends.
Then a mysterious portal opens up in the Elfsong Tavern. Gale is pulled through and a different Gale emerges in his place.
Evie isn’t surprised to hear that this new Gale has been experimenting with a teleportation spell, one that he mangled so horribly it sent him to a parallel universe. However, she’s very surprised to hear that in this Gale’s home world, he and Evie are very close.
In fact - they’re in love.
