Pomni stepped forward, pointing her gun at the rabbit.
Jax grinned, with dilated pupils and an unnaturally wide smile. It was unsettling.
“Fiiiiinally, you sure took your sweet time huh Pompom. Now get your evil on and pull that trigg-”
Pomni flipped the gun towards herself, eyes closing as Jax’s hand twitched forward, his smile starting to fall as he watched.

“I loved him, Rosie,” Alastor’s fingers clenched the fabric of her dress, wrinkling it, as if he needed something to keep himself from breaking apart. “He was my friend,” his voice cracked. “I… I thought he would be different.” He lowered his head.
“Alastor...”
“Al!” A different voice echoed in his mind, but he tried to ignore it.
“I want to hate him,” he tightened his grip on her dress. “I want to hate him, but…”
He swallowed.
“A part of me misses him. Misses what we were before the deal.”
Alastor felt Rosie’s hand gently stroking his back. “You can grieve him, Alastor. You can mourn what you lost.”
“Al, come on!” he heard that voice again, closer now, more desperate, but he kept ignoring it.
“I didn’t want it to end like this,” Alastor confessed quietly. “I didn’t want to lose him, but he… he…”
Alastor closed his eyes, unwilling to finish the sentence. He leaned into Rosie’s arms, and the tears he had been holding back finally fell.
“Open your eyes, Al!”

Summary
Vox refuses to believe he's worth caring for as he tries to drag himself out of the slump he'd been in since the incident.
Alastor doesn't know how to let people care about him in fear of being hurt, he's got a plan going on though... probably.
Lucifer is clinging to any attention he can get and getting quickly attached to anyone who shows him even the slightest kindness because he's not used to it.

Vincent was used to being stared at. On Earth, it was all that happened. The only issue is that all of the stares he got on Earth were ones of reverence. In Hell, he gets nothing but people thinking he’s nothing more than his television head. It’s hard being so attention grabbing when no one respects you yet.
It’s especially hard down in Hell when people are awful people and have nothing left to lose anymore. When they can let all of their horrible qualities shine. Vincent hates being on the opposite end of that. Alastor hates it even more.

What if married!Alastor/Vox worked together to gain Alastor's freedom from Rosie then fucked about it once they did?
Well, that's pretty much what happens in this fic.-
“Oh, Charlie, you have no idea what you’ve just done for me. All I can say is, thank you for sucking so much at everything you do.” Vox made it sound like a brag, but he truly did mean it. He was thankful that she had helped him, even when she’d done it unwillingly. “Just… Thank you.”
Finally, he rests his hands on her shoulders, just like Alastor told him not to in their deal. Alastor stood, smiling just as he usually did, but it felt more genuine this time.
“Alastor.” Vox said, smiling in a softer way than he’d done in years. “Get over here, and let me kiss you, you idiot.”
“...What?” The princess muttered. The crowd mumbled in agreement. They were confused, and rightly so.
Regardless, Alastor stepped through his shadows and onto the stage. He kissed Vox in front of the crowd, soft and tender. Once he pulled away, he asked, “Did you miss me, mon cher?”

Alastor felt his smile freeze on his face. Not because the news was false, but because Vox was there, in his tower, trembling with rage, his hands clenched into fists at his sides.
—Is it true? —Vox asked, his voice static and poison—. Are you going to marry him?
Alastor folded the newspaper carefully, placing it on the table beside him. His smile widened again, though something in it had become sharper.
—I don't see how that's any of your business —he replied, waving his hand vaguely—. Don't tell me you came all the way here just for magazine gossip, Vox. You're losing your touch.
—Don't fuck with me —Vox spat, taking a step forward. Then another. His static filled the room, crackling in the air like annoying bees—. Do you think I don't care? Do you think I can see you in every damn newspaper, smiling like a happy idiot next to that… that fucking dwarf… and not make a scene?
—It seems to me you're making one right now —Alastor said, his voice a dangerous whisper.
I'm not good at making summaries, so I used a snippet from the fic. This takes place after the second season. It's not relevant to the plot, but it is for knowing where it's set ^_^
