Summary
Simon died. He felt it, something ripping him open from the inside and tearing his body apart. There’s no coming back from that end and yet, here he is.
All other options exhausted, he’s left with his first instinct: The Divine.
Simon was never much of a believer. Faith was manipulation and in Simon's hands became a tool. In spite of that, some of that old thinking had been awakened by all he witnessed in the Light. Something much bigger than him, to what Simon is little more than a speck of dust and barely perceivable, had looked straight at Simon and seen him, known him, said his name.
Maybe seeing Simon sacrificing himself for the good of the many had earned him one last chance at life. Not enough to balance the scales of the afterlife but enough to be saved for now.
Or maybe it could not give less of a shit what Simon is and what he’s done, and was just curious to see what a dead man would do if left alive.
Either way, Simon lives.
Fuck.

Boba snorted. “Has anyone ever told Vader that he’s delusional? You can’t change the past."
Except Obi-Wan didn’t agree.

Summary
Jazz and Prowl exchange a strange look, something that makes Megatron want to strangle them because he can’t decipher what it is. He pushes back the suspicion that they’ve caught onto his situation; it would be impossible for them to know. There is nothing different about Prime’s frame or processor from when Ratchet had scanned him during his forced berth rest. They cannot know about him.
“If you need an extended leave, don’t refrain from requesting it,” Prowl says after a small pause. “That was quite a blow to the helm you took.”
“A measly blow to the helm won’t deter me in the slightest,” Megatron snaps before he can think better. When he does think better, he reiterates to a wide-eyed Prowl, “that is, my helm is more than capable of taking a hit.”
Jazz laughs at that. It sounds strained.
“Sure,” he agrees, “yeah, sure. Hey, how many digits am I holding up?”

Summary
Fox dies.
Except he doesn’t, because as soon as the creepy Sith ritual drains the last of the blood from his body, he wakes up…somewhere. Somewhere else, where, for once, he can’t feel the Emperor’s claws digging into his head every hour of the cycle.
Unfortunately, this somewhere else is so deep in the middle of nowhere that he gets picked up by a mandalorian—some asshole called Montross who quickly proves that he’d be more helpful dead, especially once Fox finds out that this shabuir wants to sell him off to the Kyr’tsad. In a final bid for freedom, Fox disposes of his would-be captor, commandeers his ship, and goes on the run from the man’s terrorist Kyr’tsad friends and his weird Haat Mando’ad coworkers.
…until the weird coworkers finally catch up to Fox.
Or: upon his death, Fox is thrown several decades into the past, lands in Mandalore’s backyard, gets himself adopted, and (mostly intentionally) alters the course of the galaxy.
Oh, and he isn’t the only vod to get tossed through time and space.
