Summary
Podfic of where my armor ends.
"We were so worried, we heard you—" Ragatha starts, and then looks up. She meets Jax's gaze dead-on, and goes silent. Tears brim in the corner of her eye. Her hand flies up to cover her mouth. He can't tell if the look on her face is relief or fear.
Gangle's staring at him like she's seen a ghost. Pomni slowly raises to her feet, brows furrowed. She winces as every movement jars her wavering form.
Cowered on the floor, panting, confused and disoriented, with everyone standing above him, taller than him… it reminds Jax of something deeply unpleasant. They're all staring at him. They're all seeing him.
Jax knows they're not going to like what they see.
His breath quickens until his head is spinning, and he feels like he's going to vomit. He forces himself upwards with a frustrated cry, swaying in place, and then turns and bolts towards his room as fast as he can.
"NO!" Pomni screams.
(or: pomni pulls jax back from the brink.)

Kaufmo awakes from abstraction to find an abandoned and destroyed circus. He navigates the horrific ruins of the place he once called home, and investigates what led to the tragic conditions around him. Along the way he runs into a few old friends, and has to formulate a plan on getting out of the circus and finding the others scattered into the void. Kaufmo never saw himself as a hero, always sheltered to the sidelines of his relationships... He wants to be one now. But is the damage from abstraction too much to bear? Are his friends beyond saving? Will he be able to forgive those who mocked and ridiculed him? And can the damage done to the digital world be repaired?

Summary
After Jax pressed the wrong button, everyone is -now more than ever- doomed to remain imprisoned in the circus.
Something snaps inside Zooble's head that day - it's HIS fault, all of this, they having to endure their life inside this horrid and fake place, where nothing is real, nothing sitcks. Everyday everything resets, this is not real, this is not even life.
But the moment Zooble and Jax fought... something felt nothing like the circus, it felt real.
That wrong and sickening feeling of being held in a world where nothing matters, nothing is permanent and pain is the only proof of existence keeps creeping inside Zooble's mind, but not just inside their mind - Jax's too. It's not right - but at the same time... it's so fitting.
