Bruce Wayne and Lex Luthor got along like oil and water, which is to say that someone had better call the police within 5 minutes of them greeting each other, otherwise there’d be more than just bruised egos and scraped knuckles. Timothy Drake and Lex Luthor got along like an unassuming village and conquering warlord, which is to say someone had better call the UN or the Justice League right now before Timothy goes nuclear and annihilates Luthor, Luthor’s company, and Luthor’s entire bloodline (alive or dead and minus Kon-El of course).

It’s between attempt 88 and 89 that it happens.
The grief and desperation and pure loneliness has been clawing at Tim’s lungs for the last 30 attempts like a ravenous beast tearing at flesh, leaving his heart aching and feeling as though his chest has been flayed open. His mind is a jumble of formulas and theories and please oh God please please-
The cry bursts out of his chest at the flashing ‘Failed’ on the screen, a noise that’d been caged too long.
“Kon’El!”
The wail is haunting, even to Tim’s empty ears, echoing off the cave walls and bouncing around in a harmony of anguish. The ‘El’ slowly fades to nothing, but Tim’s brain, his stupid stupid brain that just won’t shut up hears the dissonant chord and thinks… oh.or
I listened to 'Connell' by Conan Gray and like most of the batfam fandom, thought: 'Imagine Tim is the one singing this'
