“What did you say?" asked Ron, bringing a hand to his chin to clean the drops of juice rolling down from it as he looked at the person responsible for his outburst.
Fay Dunbar didn’t seem put off by Ron's shock nor the quietness of the room, only giving them all a shrug.
“I said Draco Malfoy is quite handsome."

Summary
Her ears are ringing when they pull her away. Joel took the brunt force of the flash bang, swinging her around like she weighed nothing to curl around her, but she’s just the slightest bit wobbly when they try to take her away from him, still on the ground.
Doesn’t stop her from screaming for him, though.
Even half out of it, Joel always answers when she calls, and she sees him trying to stagger onto his knees, calling back for her.
Then a soldier hits him on the back of the head.
And Ellie sees fucking red.
(alternate ep 9 ending in which ellie chooses to leave on her own)

Summary
This just makes her think of what Riley told her, about how her parents would hang her artwork in their home like it was something worth looking at, something worth saving.
Ellie wonders, just for a moment, if Joel would do that with her artwork.
Glancing down at what she’s created, a gruesome sketch of herself as half-girl and half-Cordyceps monster, she decides probably not. No one wanted artwork that ugly. Just like no one wanted a kid this ugly.

Summary
Joel rarely gets calls from unfamiliar numbers, so his tone is gruff and cautious when he answers.
“Is this Joel Miller?” Asks the girl on the other end.
“Who’s this?” He demands.

“Don’t call me again,” his voice is a growl, rage seeping into his veins as he puts together the purpose of this call.
“Mr. Miller, please just give me a minute. I run a true crime podcast about unsolved cases. We’ve already solved two-“
“Don’t call me again, do you hear?”
“Listen, there’s some evidence in your daughter's case that was overl-“
Joel hangs up the phone. For good measure, he blocks the number like Tommy showed him how to do.

Summary
After a bad breakup on Christmas, Bucky Barnes swore off both relationships and Christmas for good. Years later, he's now the world’s leading expert on how to survive being single in a world designed for couples (tax breaks, anyone?). He’s got a movie deal coming up for his bestselling book, Facebook Status: It’s Not That Complicated, and his own talk show where he offers advice to struggling singles.
He’s got exactly two problems in the world: Steve and Tony, his very attractive, very married neighbors who think that love is the greatest thing since sliced bread and Christmas is the world’s best holiday. But it’s fine because, for the most part, he can ignore them and they can ignore him.
And then a wrench gets thrown into his plans when his sister foists her two children, Kate and Harley, off on him for the holidays. Here’s the thing—it doesn’t matter if you don’t celebrate Christmas when the kids do.
So Bucky finds himself swallowing his pride and knocking on his neighbors’ door, asking for help with this whole Christmas thing. But in Steve and Tony’s cozy apartment, Bucky slowly starts finding himself enjoying Christmas again—and maybe even falling in love.
