Summary
Jeongin is a model student- devout, quiet, and deeply committed to his faith. Seminary school should have been a place of peace, not temptation. But everything shifts when Hyunjin arrives: beautiful, aloof, and unwilling to play by anyone’s rules.
What begins as irritation slowly dissolves into something more complicated: stolen glances during hymns, whispered conversations after lights out, a shared silence that says too much. Hyunjin is everything Jeongin has been taught to avoid- and yet, he finds himself drawn to him in ways he can’t explain, much less confess.
As the school year unfolds, so does a quiet, aching intimacy between them. Faith trembles. Boundaries blur. And under the watchful eyes of a school that preaches purity, two boys try to make sense of a connection that feels like both a sin and a salvation. -

They sat under the cover of the cherry blossom tree, shrouded in vivid pink. Jeongin watched Hyunjin sketch. Every now and then Hyunjin looked up at him and smiled. The light shining in through the gaps in the branches cast patterns across his face.
It reminded Jeongin of the sun through stained glass. Familiar. Brilliant.

Jeongin placed his palms flat against Hyunjin’s chest, wishing he could reach in a crush the heart he had never managed to capture when he had the chance.
“Innie, please, just listen to me,” Hyunjin begged, his eyes starting to become teary. “I can-”
“I’m done listening to you, Hyunjin,” Jeongin shook his head. “You’ve had 9 years to talk to me. 9 years where I would have listened and bought every single word you said, but now it’s too fucking late for you to come creeping back to me. We’re done.”
Or, after several years abroad, Jeongin is convinced he’s healed and done being heartbroken, but when Hyunjin and the friends they used to share comes crashing back in, Jeongin is less than fine about it all.
