Summary
Cody has a scar now, and it’s the only thing that differentiates him from Fox appearance-wise. For one, they both have the same circles under their eyes. Fox assumes that’s what comes with being a Commander. Their hands are the same, too, damaged and bruised at all times.
But the biggest difference Fox sees when he looks at Cody isn’t the scar. It’s the rage. Cody doesn’t wear that same rage.
Fox’s hands ache with the need to punch something.

The man- now unmistakably Eddie Munson- opened his mouth as if to say something, choosing to instead launch himself at Steve. There was a second where Steve thought he was being attacked, knocked off kilter, but then Eddie’s arms were around him, burying his face in Steve’s hair. Half-collapsing beneath the weight, Steve guided them both to the floor, pulling Eddie closer instinctively. He felt thinner than he used to, the skin of his back littered with scars.
“Eddie,” Steve murmured disbelievingly, holding him as he shook like a leaf in Steve’s arms. “You’re not dead.”
Eddie laughed, despite the trembling. He clutched onto Steve’s shirt like a lifeline.
“Yeah,” he managed, voice high and vulnerable. “Sorry to disappoint.”

Two of Swords means difficulty is choices and indecision. This didn't exactly make sense… Since he was the one drunk, making a choice wouldn't be that difficult, or anyone drunk that's why it's easier to convince and manipulate people that way. So this card didn't particularly apply to him, but to someone else. Someone sober.

On a day when he was feeling less charitable, Kaladin would have taken it for artifice. A lighteyes, so desperate to entertain and be entertained, settling for a pantomime of connection. Kaladin almost wished he could conjure some of that comfortable disdain; without it, all that was left was a kind of pang in his chest and a sour curl on his lip. Adolin slung an arm around Skar's shoulder. Kaladin sank further into the bench, took another sip of ale, and gave up trying to look anywhere else.

He was about to crack a joke when he caught a glimpse of Eddie’s face. For a split second Eddie looked nauseous, his mouth was slightly open, his eyes were fixed on his trailer, eyebrows knitted together. Then, he was smiling but it didn’t reach his eyes.
“Thank you for the ride, man.”
Steve didn’t play along. There was something very wrong with Eddie but he couldn’t pinpoint what exactly. He just knew there was no chance in hell he was leaving his friend alone.

The Doctor didn’t talk. Couldn’t talk, it seemed. Jack assumed it was shock. He wasn’t in the best of states himself. But he would do what he could to take care of the Doctor. His own state, his own feelings – that didn’t matter. After a year of torture, Jack’s well-being really didn’t matter much anymore.
Martha did not agree. She had her own demons to fight, but she kept insisting that Jack’s feelings did, in fact, matter.
All of them had gone through terrible events. All of them were traumatised. None of them knew how to deal with it. But they could still try to help each other up a little.
