He feels his New Orlean’s accent, which has been reasserting itself more and more since leaving Armand those years ago, thicken as his mouth gets drier. “I know you…you buried yourself for a long while after Nicholas. And after…Gabriella.” He winces at bringing the name into it, but Lestat just steadily holds his eyes. “Did you…want to die? Then or ever?”
Louis and Lestat have conversations.

Summary
“Where are we?” Louis asks, finally taking in their surroundings. The coffin seems to be on the ground of a narrow, rather disgusting apartment, filled with wood paneling and far too many windows. And people. There are so many people crowded in the doorway, standing along the windows. Standing outside the windows, banging and shouting to be let in.
“My tour bus,” Lestat replies softly, “We are at the concert.”
“The concert--,”
“I know,” Letstat interrupts quickly. “I know. Gabrielle and the band spirited us here without my knowledge.”
“Or consent,” Louis adds menacingly.

Summary
It was pure magnetism, whatever force it was that joined them across time and space, through every awful, terrible version of themselves. Lestat never fully understood it, always explained it away as their maker/fledgling bond, but what he and Louis shared was entirely something else. It was intoxicating, as it always was, and they were both quickly falling back into the abyss, losing themselves in it, but finding the other already there waiting.
A post 3x06 fix-it because what would happen the rest of the night if Armand and Daniel never showed up?

His stomach drops. God, how he hates that word. That word, and the i word, and the r word that he won't even touch. They follow him everywhere, they linger in his peripheral, they ring in his head like a cymbal. They get caught behind his tongue when he tries whispering them to himself in the mirror alone.
After Gabriella leaves, Louis helps Lestat come to terms with what happened to him.
