Summary
Han Jisung has been mistaken as an Alpha his entire life. With a scent like his, it's not hard to understand why. When a rival gang shows up at his husband's door and takes him as insurance, he's scared. The Stray Kids gang has no idea who he is beyond being Jaeyoon's husband. If they find out he's actually an Omega, what will they do? He's almost out of suppresants, and given that his Alpha didn't like his scent and thought he was too needy while in heat, he hasn't had a heat since he presented. Only...the gang is actually kind, even if they were rough when they thought he was an Alpha. Given what he's learned about Hyujin's past, he can understand why. He'd be rough too. Over time, his world view starts to change. “What do you think? Am I just wasting my time sitting here?” The words spill from Chan’s mouth before he’s able to think them through.
The waiter seems slightly taken aback by the question. And if he’s being honest, Chan doesn’t know why he asked it in the first place. Whatever he responds with, it’ll probably just make him feel worse. He thinks about backtracking, but before he’s able to, a smug smile settles over the waiter’s face.
“I think you’re too pretty to be waiting for a guy who’s clearly not coming,” he says casually, the smile not leaving his face for a second, even when Chan chokes on his spit. If anything, it seems to widen as Chan frantically coughs, turning away from the other to save himself from further embarrassment. “I- What?”

Chan's date doesn't show up, leaving him to wallow in self-pity, until Hyunjin shows up to sweep him off his feet. They go on an impromptu date, and Chan learns a lot about himself.

The Duke had been awakening the beast inside of him since they met. The hot, almost angry surge of desire inside him. To press close to Minho's body, to feel his hands and lips upon him. The beat of it pulsed within him, hot and heady.
The salty smell of humid skin and something else lying below. If he pulled off Minho's cravat would he be able to smell him? The real him. The scent of the alpha beast that lived inside his handsome body. Under the silk and skin.
His unpresented nose was too weak to pick up such things, but if he pressed close? As close as their clothes and flesh would allow. If he placed his nose right on the warm spot between the Duke's neck and shoulder, would he be able to smell it then? Perhaps using his tongue could help. If he could taste it–
