Summary
Schroeder’s family has been tormenting Birchwood for decades. People have been going missing, left bleeding out, or simply traumatized. Schroeder hasn’t talked to his childhood friends since his parents found out about them. The concept of a vampire befriending humans was too much to bear. That, or, truly they all had it out for him. He wouldn’t have known. He never experienced that kind of companionship, anyways.
However, when Schroeder gets older and a bounty is placed on his head, his “childhood friends” begin to turn on him by venturing in the one place that no Birchwood citizen dares, the forest. They’re thirsty. For his blood, it seems. That is, until Schroeder’s one companion, Charlie Brown, wants to be his activist. And maybe a little more.

“Rock and roll.”
He looked at Sirius sharply, and for once, matched his grin. “Yeah.”
“Maybe that’s my excuse then,” Sirius said. “I cause a bit of chaos now, and maybe one day, it’ll turn into rock and roll.”After losing his mother at age eleven, Remus has spent the better part of the last four years bouncing from school to school or else running around London and pretending as though he wasn't the kind of well-bred boy his father brought him up to be. Now, with his chances all run out, Remus is sent to Hawkings Independent School as a last-ditch effort to clean up his act. There he meets the very people who will set up the rest of his life, and is forced to confront the pieces of himself he'd long thought had been lost.

Summary
Sirius didn’t say ‘I love you’ out loud very often. Other people might have had their concerns. They might have felt insecure, knowing they said ‘I love you’ so much more than their boyfriend did. But Remus knew Sirius. Maybe he didn’t say it out loud, but Remus never had a doubt in his mind that he was loved.
Remus reflects the different ways Sirius says 'I love you'.
