Jared makes the painful decision to try and bury his feelings and be the friend that he's always been. Jensen is straight, has a child to look after, a job to hold down, a college to attend and grades to keep up. Jared doesn't stand a chance.

Sam couldn’t be leaving, Sam would never, not in a million years, abandon Dean. Sam may have hated being a hunter with every passionate, stubborn bone in his body, but he was not cruel. Abandoning Dean would be cruel. Sam was not cruel.
