Summary
The first half of the first tournament of magic in Camelot in 25 years was not nearly as interesting as Arthur had hoped.
Thus far, it hadn’t been all that different from the ones he had fought in with his knights, though with more supernatural throwing, shoving, and tripping. Arthur suppressed a pout.
He didn’t even get to participate in this tournament, and there were few things he loathed more than sitting by and watching a fight.
Things would probably get more interesting once Merlin entered the fray—the man brought trouble like carcasses attracted flies—and he would be competing with Albion’s other court sorcerers. Merlin made him feel a great many things, but he strongly doubted boredom would ever be one of them.

Summary
Merlin sufre un pequeño accidente que le convierte en un niño de aproximadamente cinco años. Mientras Gaius trabaja en un antídoto, Arthur se compromete a cuidar de Merlin, sin saber que se embarcará en una semana de locos en la que, gracias a este niño tan extraño y familiar, podrá llegar a conocer mejor a su sirviente y comprender qué es lo que realmente siente por él.
Este es relato ameno lleno de Arthur siendo protector, de Merlin siendo Merlin, y de los dos siendo el mejor dúo que nos haya dado jamás la televisión. Contiene pollos que aparecen por arte de magia, niños demasiado sinceros, príncipes queriendo que se les trague la tierra, confesiones veladas, cuentos antes de dormir, secretos enquistados y dudas angustiosas. Aparecen Gwen siendo el alma más buena y generosa de Camelot y Lancelot y Gwaine siendo los grandes amigos que siempre son. El resto de los caballeros, Gaius y un Uther venido a menos completan la escena.Aviso: en esta historia todo el mundo adora a Merlin. A ver, ¿acaso no va de eso la serie original?
(Los hechos podrían encuadrarse en el año transcurrido entre los acontecimientos narrados en el final de la temporada 3 y el comienzo de la temporada 4)

Summary
Bei der Schlacht von Camlann schafft Merlin es, Arthur das Leben zu retten und Morgana zu töten. Dabei gibt er sich jedoch als Zauberer zu erkennen und Arthur verbannt ihn aus Camelot.
Fünf Jahre später ist Arthur bereit, wieder mit Merlin zu reden, und sie erkennen, dass sie Albion nur zusammen vereinen und die Prophezeiung erfüllen können.
Am nächsten Morgen wachen sie in ihren jungen Körpern in der Vergangenheit auf.

„Irgendjemand oder irgendetwas hat uns hierher zurückgeschickt, genau an den Anfang, mit all unseren Erinnerungen“, sagt Merlin und erst jetzt wird ihm wirklich klar, was das bedeutet. „Stell dir nur vor, was wir alles tun könnten! Wir könnten dafür sorgen, dass sich dieses Mal alles zum Guten wendet.“
Arthur sieht ihn zweifelnd an. „Können wir die Zukunft denn einfach so verändern?“
„Ich glaube schon”, antwortet Merlin und Hoffnung und Zuversicht steigen in ihm hoch.

Summary
Arthur survives the battle of Camlann but discovers that Merlin is a sorcerer when Merlin kills Morgana to save Arthur’s life. Feeling angry and betrayed, Arthur banishes Merlin.
Five years later, in a war-torn Camelot, Arthur is finally ready to talk to Merlin, and they realize that they can only fulfill the prophecy together, side by side.
The next morning, they wake up in the past, in their young bodies.

“Someone or something has sent us back in time, right to the beginning, with all our memories,” Merlin says, and it’s only now that it dawns on him what that truly means. “Just imagine everything we could do, everything we could change for the better. We could make everything right this time.”
Arthur hesitates for a moment. “Can we even change the future?”
“Yes, I think we can”, Merlin answers with confidence and new-found hope in his voice.
