Despite the clatter of plates, the ambient noise of ‘pass the salt’ and obvious shocked whispering about White, it felt like the four of them were in one tiny bubble together at their end of the table in an empty house.
“White,” Green cleared their throat and then began. “These are my parents, Brunswick and Celadon.”

Months after the surviving two crew disembarked the now-decommissioned Skeld, the news picks up an "accidentally" leaked report from MIRA about the Skeld's last mission, and the fate of the rest of the crew- with the blame being entirely pinned on a certain unpaid intern.
This time, Red is determined not to let the lies... well, lie.
Nothing happens all at once though, and Red figures there's a handful of mates who deserve the truth a little more urgently.

Red shoots up with sudden clarity—then, horror. Of the abject sort, most definitely. "Purple, what ar—what are you doing?!"
"Shut up," Purple hisses, and shoves them back down to garbage covered floor—Red bangs harshly against the metal and cries out in pain. "Shut up, you idiot," Purple continues furiously, their voice wavering unintentionally at the end (it's an embarrassing sliver of emotion that reveals more than they'd like to share with Red), but still—they have never been more sure of what they needed to do right now than they've ever been in their life.
And this—this was life or death. If Purple couldn't stop the imposter, why would they deserve to live any more than the crewmates whose lives were taken? And if there were imposters still out there, or the mission fails because of the ships lack of maintenance, and the whole crew was generally just doomed?
Well. If they were losing the whole crew, MIRA might as well lose the whole damn ship—and Purple couldn't think of a greater reward than being the one to take out the Captain.
or: In the vast chill of space, Purple and Red die together.

Eclipse’s attempt to ping and interact with the pizzaplex’s main system ended in errors every time. No maintenance, but he needed additional assistance if he was going to have the place back into shape to allow children in again.
Perhaps they were closed for renovations?
He could hear their occasional whispers from beyond the daycare doors. Some kind of work is being done. Laughter and the spraying of fresh paint. How could they neglect him so?
Again, whispers floated beyond the walls of his ruined daycare. Too low to discern, too high-pitched to be fazco workers. Kids? It was entirely unsafe for children here. His audio sensors tuned into their hushed voices. Three… Four kids? They were above him to his left… But the parking lot was that way?
Rubble cascaded down the wall as something slipped across its ridged surface. A scream, sharp and desperate. His face plate whipped around to see a figure crash into the ball pit while the other voices grew clearer.
“Cora!” A younger boy’s voice shouted.
However, Eclipse didn’t tune into their panicked screams any longer. Instead, his optics remained fixated on the shuffling ballpit and the soft cries of a girl from within.
