Chapter 15: Hob and Rue are caught in a compromising position and are forced to marry. Hob still gets the wrong end of the stick.
Chapter 16: Hob sees Wuvvy and thinks Rue's love confession is a distraction so Wuvvy can assassinate him.
Chapter 17: Rue is cursed with obedience.
Chapter 18: Three potential Lady Sylmenars.
Chapter 19: Scorple finds out about Hob's feelings for Rue, and then forgets to do anything about it.
Chapter 20: Rue doesn't swat Hob's hand away in the forest, however, the weight of an owlbear is much greater than that of the lithe elven fey of their glamour. -

A good soldier continues to fight a battle even when they know it is unwinnable. A good soldier knows that preservation of their charge's dignity supersedes their own desires and comfort. A good soldier is the first and final bastion against those that would bring harm to their wards. A good soldier grits their teeth through the pain and continues to serve. A good soldier follows his orders without question.
Hob is beginning to think he doesn't like being a good soldier.

Crowley could feel himself weakening, his tortured body wracked by spasms. His thoughts grew feverish with pain and desperation. They had bound his powers, cut him off from Hell’s aid. As if Hell would even aid him. They found failed demons a hilarious object lesson in not dropping your guard. Domovoi had been nipping at his heels wanting his Earth assignment for ages, and Underduke Dagon was yet to forgive him for the last helpful note he sent about soul contracts.
There was no one who cared if he lived or died, no one who cared for him enough to miss him—
Except Aziraphale.
