Summary
The wind howled in Blackrock, snow flying by in a blur of white. Though snowstorms weren't uncommon, this one was unusual. It had not been on the weather forecast, or had given any other prior warning.
As time passed, the snow only came on thicker, with at least two meters of snow in the mountains, where the storm was the worst. The few hikers perished, all freezing before they could suffocate in the snow.
If you had followed the intended path of the then dead hikers, then took a little detour, it would have led you to the peak of the tallest mountain. And just off, but at a level dangerously steep, there is a nearby cave.
Something obscure but solid, something would be waiting for you at the end.
