The commander stared deep into Badri’s eyes, no trace of weakness inside. “Are you ready?”
“Yes.” Badri answered confidently. He knew what he was supposed to say to any and all questions the older demon had.
“What are you willing to sacrifice?” Gawli demanded.
“My life, my family, my honor.” Honor meant ranks, which Badri’s family wanted for him, and it would impact his life for eternity.
“What will you be gaining, if your mission is to succeed?”
“My passion, my rank, my career.”
Gawli grunted, in something that Badri wanted to believe was approval. “Welcome, Son of Darkness. What is your chosen persona?”
“Darryl Noveschosch, twenty four human years of age.” The missionary began, repeating what he knew by heart. “I will reside in the Temple of Shadows until I have completed my mission. I will let no one on the surface know my identity.”
“Who is your mission?”
This was the most important question. This one would interpret the future of his mission.

A shapeshifter by the name of Eijiro Kirishima. Still, Katsuki told himself he’d go to the trader. But it’s a long journey, and he doesn’t expect how much the two will bond…
Eijiro Kirishima, a young shapeshifter, was harmed after being harpooned from the sky, still in dragon form. He had accepted death and didn’t expect to wake up again. So, when he does, in another man’s cave, he’s surprised and thankful to his rescuer, someone called Katsuki. They set off on an adventure to find a mysterious Firepiece, which, legend tells, holds some strange power that only few can obtain.
