Kelly jumped out of Squad and closed the door over. Annoyed at what he had to do next even though he knew he had to do it. It was one of the parts of taking the Captain job and being the ranking officer at 51 that he would’ve been happy if he never had to do. But after what had happened on that call, he had to talk to his Lieutenant about it. Even if that Lieutenant was also his wife.
He walked over towards Truck and stopped, keeping his distance from her more than he normally would. Trying to walk a fine-line of doing a necessary and required part of his job, and do it how he would with anyone else, while also respecting the fact that she wasn’t anyone else. That people were likely already talking and he didn’t want to give them any more reason to. “Lieutenant Kidd, can I have a word with you in my office?”
