He understands believing in someone so deeply that to shelter a piece of them within yourself is an act of untempered faith, love and prayer and deep-wide trust.

Who is either a toddler or a high schooler. Who is either named Jack or Sammy. He also might have a best friend named Cas, but that also might be his wife.
Truth is nobody knows what to make of Dean.

Summary
The walls bleed black again, and Castiel is deposited back into the room he was snatched from in a far more undignified manner than he left it.

His face is hot when he pulls the beer away from his mouth, a rising sense of panic fluttering in his chest. He has thought these things, known them, of course, but it feels so different now because Dean will know. He is going to look at Castiel and know exactly how he feels, what he thinks. That is...distressing.
Perhaps Dean will avoid it. He is very good at doing those things. When faced with something he simply doesn't want to acknowledge, that's his first method of handling the situation, and Castiel is sure that it will go this way again. He is banking on it, in fact.
It will be fine. He has Jack. Sam will be here, a welcome presence and a perfect buffer.
It's all going to be fine.

The first time Dean kisses Cas, it’s for a case. Just for a case. Nothing more. Dean absolutely doesn’t feel anything when they kiss. The second time Dean kisses Cas, it’s because they’re trapped by a monster, and Dean has something to prove to the monster. But it’s not real, right? The third time Dean kisses Cas, he doesn’t know if he’s trying to prove something to himself or to Cas. A kiss is just a kiss; it doesn’t mean anything, right? Unless maybe it’s time to acknowledge that kissing can mean something if it’s with the right person— or in Dean’s case, the right Angel.

Summary
Cas is back.
After defeating Chuck and fixing the world, Jack brought him and the other angels back, good as new, wings and all. It’s the first time in years that he’s had his batteries at full power. And he’s still getting used to being a fully-powered angel.
There’s a lot he’s getting used to.
Like being Dean’s.
(Kisses are shared and lightbulbs are broken as Cas struggles to adjust to having his full grace back and Dean touching him so much. He doesn’t mind.)

Dean stared at him. "So… that's why I can't help?" he said slowly. "'Cause I can't, y'know… see 'em? Or touch 'em?"
