Summary
Despite being multiple years into their relationship and marriage, communication at times gets lost— particularly when it comes to sex, seeing as Alex and Mallory are on opposite ends of the spectrum when it comes to their sexualities. Mallory grows more comfortable with the act each time he and Alex do it, however, he's still not great at communicating his needs or his boundaries. After Alex takes things a little too far, they talk it out in language that Alex can understand.

Summary
Some of the stories of Alex's early life, starting from his early childhood living in inner Zuzu City with his parents and spending holidays in Pelican Town, leading to his mother's death and Alex's permanent move to his grandparents' house. This series will deal with some of his struggles in school, with making friends, and the relationships he has not just with his grandparents but the rest of the townsfolk, and even his parents. Alex's grief and trauma continue to shape him and effect his decisions throughout the series, giving a better understanding of the man the farmer meets on their arrival to Pelican Town.
Tl; dr: Alex's childhood in a series of vignettes and snapshots.
Written for DecembAlex 2025, these will be ordered chronologically, as they happen to Alex, rather than in publishing date order.

Summary
Harvey struggled to balance his groceries, fearing that any sudden movement would cause a vegetable to slip from his grasp and splatter on the ground. Alex's gut urged him to flee. Even now, his heart was inexplicably pounding from their unexpected encounter.
Alex reached for some of the bags, certain he’d regret this decision in days to come. “You shouldn't push yourself, doc,” he said, hoping the other didn't notice the shakiness in his voice.
Harvey rolled his eyes with a smile. “Oh, you’re giving me advice?”
“I can easily leave you with your groceries, you know.”
“No—wait.” Harvey let out a hearty laugh. “Alright, you’re right. I might have carried a little too much there.”
Alex smirked. “A little?”
Harvey gave him a pointed look and they both chuckled. Alex found himself staring again. The tightening feeling in his chest returned.
He was already regretting the decision.

Alex keeps injuring himself. Harvey has to treat him. And with the town's small size, they're bound to keep running into each other. Watch as they grow closer and closer beyond their doctor-patient relationship while Alex panics over it all.

Summary
Alex has everything he's ever wanted. Happily married to the woman of his dreams, a baby daughter, and backup quarterback for the Zuzu City Tunnellers, he'd be the first to admit how lucky he is. Sometimes, when we're on a roll, we push our luck. Just how much will Alex gamble, and how much is he prepared to lose.
A slow-burn story spanning the consequences of addiction, unresolved issues, and finding support and comfort in unusual places. Through his mistakes, Alex learns about life, himself, and what it really means to be a man.
Can probably be read without reading the others, the final work in the series, this story covers life five years post-marriage for the couple, as well as some end-game mechanics and events, and a look at things away from the farm and town. Some tags to be added as we go, but the important ones are there. I will also give a heads up for anything triggering.
This is going to get a bit dark. I am not sorry.

Summary
Winter is leaving the Valley- not that you know what the Valley looks like normally. You've come by to check on your grandfather, and ended up burying him in the same breath.
With the excuse of your arrival laid to rest, you have to come up with some new reasons as to why you're staying in town. If the kind doctor Harvey can see right through them all, he's kind enough not to tell you. Unfortunately, he's probably kind enough to fall in love with.
The air is warming up, and your body is yours again. Spring is on its way.

I've got to be one of the worst farmers in the history of the Ferngill Republic. I've got bad crops, I'm in debt up to my eyeballs, the Mayor wants to bankrupt me, and I've made myself public enemy number one in town by saying the stupidest things imaginable. Too bad I also just so happen to be harboring a crush on the one guy that probably hates my guts more than anybody because of what I said about him.
But no one falls in love gracefully, right?
Main story is completed at chapter 25. Nice epilogue is chapter 26, and the spicy epilogue is chapter 27 which is why this fic is rated E.
