Summary
Ilya Rozanov has a plan.
He and Shane are stupidly, disgustingly, almost offensively in love. They want a family. They're ready for the next impossible thing.
Just one problem: Shane has two good years left on the ice, and while he wants a baby, he is not ready to be pregnant.
Ilya is.
Ilya is thirty-seven, retired or close enough to taste it, and in possession of what he considers several important advantages: excellent genetics, Olympic hips, and an undeniable talent for getting exactly what he wants. He would thrive being pregnant. Shane would thrive managing the logistics.
Ilya offers to carry.
Is simple. An easy workaround. Two alphas, one rare compatibility loophole, a spreadsheet, and a baby at the end of it.

Hayden wasn’t the type to invade someone’s privacy, but seeing Shane reduced to a ghost was wearing him down. He picked up the phone, his fingers trembling slightly as he searched for the contact “Lily.” The phone rang once, twice, three times.
Then, the line clicked. But there was no "Hello?"
“This is Ilya. I never check my voicemail.”
Hayden pulled the phone away from his ear, staring at the screen as if it had just exploded. The name still read Lily. But the voice… the voice was low, gravelly, with that Russian accent he’d been hearing scream across the ice for years.
“Rozanov?” Hayden whispered. “What the hell…”

Shane Hollander is bred for greatness: son of a future Prime Minister, Canada’s golden boy, first overall pick. Ilya Rozanov is Russia’s answer: the President’s son, cocky and brilliant, everything Shane is supposed to beat.
Their rivalry begins at seventeen with an overtime goal and a blown kiss. It evolves in hotel rooms and stolen hours between games they’re supposed to hate each other through. For seven years, they hide what they are while the world watches them compete, until one catastrophic hit forces Ilya to make an impossible choice in front of twenty thousand people.
What starts as Cold War propaganda becomes something neither of them can control. And when you’re in love with your rival, winning and losing stop meaning what they used to.
