    Summary

The Patriarch had joked about putting him in a veil, but Lan Wangji refused outright, the only piece of autonomy he’d demanded for the whole thing. Being covered like that, trapped, would have made him panic. He might have let tears drip down his cheeks if he hadn’t had to worry about anyone seeing his face.

As Lan Wangji bowed, he thought of his mother, and he almost wept anyway.

In an effort to keep the Yiling Patriarch from destroying their own sects like he’d destroyed Wen Ruohan’s, the Great Sects band together an offer him an alliance in the form of a marriage.

Who better to offer than the Second Jade of Lan?

“And—you want to do all that with me?” Yin Yu asks, waving his hand around. “Everything—everything you said people do in marriages?”

“I’ve always wanted to live with Shixiong,” Quan Yizhen says eagerly, leaning forward.

“The—other stuff,” Yin Yu forces himself to say, despite how now even the back of his neck was hot. “You—want to do all that with me?”

    “Yes.” Quan Yizhen says simply.

Or Xie Lian plays at matchmaking, and Yin Yu and Quan Yizhen manage to reach an understanding.

    Summary

Yin Yu was sent out to pick up flowers for Hua Cheng's painting project. He never thought that such a routine, easy mission could end with him being kidnapped by a cult and selected to become a sacrificial offering for the martial god of the West, and then escaping with people he least had expected to meet that day.

And that was just the beginning.

    This is so beautiful.

I never really imagine the idea of Xie Lian making a grave for Wu Ming in Lang’er Bay, muchless making a yearly pilgrimage to said grave.

The boy had an arrogant and careless air about him, as if completely oblivious to the nature of the grief and mourning that was taking place here. Considering Xie Lian’s current state, that sly grin of his was hard to look at.

Sometimes, good looks truly are wasted on people.

Xie Lian huffed and peeled his eyes away.

His numb hands were trembling. Hot tears were carving paths down his face again, and he’d hardly ever felt so miserable and pathetic in his entire life. Would tears be the only real thing he ever had to offer here?

    Poor Xie Lian...

“Here to pay your respects to the dead?” asked the young man, sounding a little amused.

“Ah… yes, I am. I do this every year. Can I ask what you’re doing way out here?”

“Well, I suppose I’m here to be respected,” the youth replied lightly.

    Xie Lian frowned.

Okay this was way funnier than it had to be… I’m so sorry
