In an AU Paris, Marinette Dupain-Cheng and Adrien Agreste are both wildly successful and carefully guarded adults. Unbeknownst to each other, they are also Ladybug and Chat Noir - superheroes deeply, hopelessly in love behind the safety of their masks, yet still bound by their promise never to reveal their identities.
But when a buried clause in a long-forgotten contract forces Marinette and Adrien into an arranged marriage - one neither of them wanted, expected, or agreed to - they find themselves legally and publicly bound to a stranger...and privately resentful of each other.

cue ladybug having to awkwardly tell him that yes, they actually did kiss once around five or six years ago, and she's been using that experience this whole time to justify the observation that chat noir is a terrible kisser. he is SO mad.

Hey Hey! Quick disclaimer/context. This mini fic is based heavily on a dream I had, which I decided to turn into a mlb fic because… why not! It includes aged-up characters, mild bondage, cunnilingus, implied cheating, descriptions of sex, and creampie. Frankly, its mainly smut with minimal story line.
For context, in this adult (mid-twenties) au, Adrien never went to school with everyone, and therefore does not have a very close relationship with Marinette. They are somewhere between a friendship and an acquaintanceship via the random little bump-ins they would have had due to fashion, photo shoots, the park, etc. growing up as well as her relatively new position working under Gabriel himself as a Lead Fashion Designer. I am imagining an adult version of Adrien— whose only escape from his father’s tight leash being his time as Chat Noir— being a lot more mentally feral, rebellious, and subconsciously leaning more into his Chat persona as a civilian as he gets older due to the frustrations and social stunting of consistently being under his father’s ruling thumb. Also, Adrien has a “girlfriend” (strictly for PR purposes, but that’s top secret), and Marinette, of course, has an intoxicated type of crush on him from afar.Bookmarked by apedarling

When Marinette's heart is broken by Adrien... she transforms into Ladybug and sits on a rooftop, where Chat finds her upset. He coaxes her to tell him who broke her heart. She tells him that it was a some boy that couldn't be true to her when he still had feelings for Ladybug. He becomes sad when he hears that and thinks of how he just did that to his girlfriend that day. He starts to talk to try and comfort her when she interrupts him by suddenly kissing him. He panics and pushes her away because he knows that she doesn't feel the same. But then she admits that a part of her heart always belonged to him.
But later when he puts two and two together and as the name Marinette passes his lips, she panics all over again.
