Roy sighs. “Because an estate agent told me I should.”
“D’you like it?”
“I hate it,” Roy says heavily, and it’s surprisingly freeing to admit out loud. He sits back in his seat, feeling like an elephant has stepped off his chest.
“So sell it. Buy something you like. Life’s too short, right?” Jamie says, like it’s so easy.
It actually…probably is that easy. In the grand scheme of things. He just needs to ring an estate agent, put his house on the market, and buy a new one. People do it literally every day. Jamie Tartt figured it out, so it can’t be impossible. Fuck.

Summary

“I’m- I can’t convince myself to commit to a longer stay,” Robby admits, frustrated by it. “It’d be better for actually getting somewhere with antidepressants, I know, but I feel like once I take away the work and the bike and everything else I do… there’s a clock on how long I can be naked like that. When it runs out, if I’m not back on the right side, I’ll get stuck as nothing, forever.” Robby drops his face into his hand. “Why does this sound like The Little Mermaid?” he moans.
“Is this the kind of place where they throw a black bag over your head and smash your SIM card, or can I still talk to you?” Jack asks.

Summary
They were used to it, but it would never not be odd. All of them, except Jan Maas, had remembered how charged the dressing rooms had been, how charged training had been when Roy and Jamie were at each other’s throats…
But it didn’t make it any less odd, not that any of them were complaining because they were witnessing was something special.
Or six times when different members of AFC Richmond ship it, even if it’s strange, and the one time it was real.
