Jabber whistles appreciatively, "Man, you're in a mood today. Wake up on the wrong side of the bed?" and cackles at his own joke. Zanka's gonna strangle him. He's gonna rip out those bars with his bare hands and use them to beat Jabber to death.

It had been around a year since Zanka had first taken up Jabber’s offer of an off duty fight, and following then it had become somewhat of a regular occurrence. In fact, it wouldn't have been crazy to call the two friends– kinda. But one night, Jabber decided to throw a wrench in their little routine in the strangest way possible, by bringing Zanka some random baby he had found abandoned in a polluted zone. Why had he done this? Because he was high at the time and thought it would be hilarious to see the look on the cleaner's face. Yet in the morning when he sobered up, Jabber still wanted to keep it. And for whatever reason, Zanka did too.
“Doesn’t the kid totally look like she could be our daughter! See, she’s even got your weird striped eyebrows.” If Zanka had the energy he would punch him.
Or: Two idiots impulsively adopt a baby and now have to figure out how to simultaneously raise the kid, keep her a secret, and deal with their growing feelings for each other.

The challenge is simple: Anyone who can get the tassel off the cat's neck will be granted the hand of its witch, Zanka Nijiku.
Jabber has no interest in marrying some stuck-up witch, no matter how pretty he may be. What he does want, though, is access to a certain witch's garden, and the poisons within. And if the only way in was getting that snooty cat on his side, he could make nice long enough for that. He'd always been a cat person anyway. How hard could it be?

It wasn't that he set out thinking he was any more special than the next person, he just thought that maybe this was the *one* thing he could have control over—himself and his relationships.
Zanka was a well adjusted and upstanding guy, he was known for his astute senses and being a reliable giver in the eyes of Enjin. He was an alpha, but that didn't mean he was prone to flying off the handle, nope.
Of course, that was before he met the little asshole that Enjin took in, and to make matters worse? There was a raider with a tantilizi- putrid, he was going to say putrid! scent running around causing havoc on his instincts. Now Zanka didn't know what to think anymore but one thing was for sure.
