Summary
Varka watched silently as Lohen's eyes scanned his own, analysing, until they widen ever so slightly as a sly grin slid its way onto his face. "You did notice," he said, elation growing with every whispered word. "You noticed and you drank it anyway. Do you trust me that much, Varka?"
Varka did, and perhaps he shouldn't.

Summary
"She touched his arm,” Lohen said, flat.
Mika made a small, strangled sound.
Kaeya leaned forward with the enthusiasm of a tavern bard sensing free material. "Oh, she did."
"Kaeya," Mika lamented.
"What? She did.”
“Kaeya.”
“I'm just reporting. Accurately, if I might add."
"Kaeya, please."
"It's called journalism, Mika."For several days, Varka has been acting suspiciously. He keeps meeting a Fontainian merchant, disappearing during work hours, and refusing to explain himself.
Naturally, Lohen responds with a perfectly reasonable amount of stalking, jealousy, and crime.Bookmarked by astronomically

Summary
“I can’t say I recognize who lies beneath your costume,” Lyney says with some hint of appreciation in his voice. “And you don’t strike me as someone so easily forgotten.”
Wriothesley could tell the truth, put him out of his misery, explain the situation. But then Lyney would head back to his adoring fans, would continue avoiding Wriothesley as he has been, and Wriothesley would be left without entertainment.
This is a much more interesting game: conceal his identity, see how long it takes Lyney to realize.

Summary
“You’ll be at next week’s show, right?” Lyney asks as he’s zipping his clothing back up.
Wriothesley cocks his head to the side. “Why, Mr. Lyney, do you miss me already? I haven’t even left yet.”
Lyney grabs a hairbrush off his vanity and chucks it at Wriothesley’s head, which Wriothesley catches easily. “You’re insufferable,” he huffs, but he doesn’t deny Wriothesley’s claim.
*
Wriothesley doesn't think much about what he's doing with Lyney, until Lyney disappears into thin air for months without a single word. The hell is that about?
