Hawks panics. "Okay, alright, jeez, you caught me, I..." Hawks hesitates, gulps; tumbles forward, "Have no idea who you are." The eyebrow is still raised. "...Sorry?"
Crispy Cream doesn't say anything for a long moment. The mental pressure it creates makes Hawks want to babble, but he manages to hold his tongue this time.
"I can't tell if you're screwing with me or what," Crispy Cream drawls.
"It's the 'or what'," Hawks offers.
Hawks gets hit with an amnesia quirk. Dabi gets begrudgingly involved.

All lights are off. The window is open, and it's pouring rain. Dabi is barely a wisp, an intimidating shadow backlit by dim city lights. Hawks hears the plip plop of something closer than the rain outside, and realizes that Dabi is sopping wet and dripping all over his floor. Hawks' first thought is a distraught, oh no, the hardwood; his second is a resigned, he's definitely here to kill me.
A villain doesn't break in through the window of a hero's forty-fifth story apartment on a dramatic rainy night for an impromptu booty call.
Hawks has a midnight visitor.

Summary
Hawks' approach is languid, his expression is easy and open. Even knowing it's fake, Dabi can't see the cracks in the façade. Horrifying, really.
"Hey," Hawks greets as he enters the shadow of the alley. He then proceeds to crash against the brick wall at a glacial pace, face smooshed up against the brick and his shoulders and torso slumping to follow.
In half surprise, half genuine glee, Dabi cackles. Hawks' arm twitches at his side like maybe he'd flip Dabi off if he had the strength.
Dabi's still chuckling when he asks, "How ya feelin', hero?"
"Like shit," Hawks grumbles into the wall.
"You look it," Dabi assures him, grinning and pulling out his phone. He came all this way; Hawks can afford to wait a minute while Dabi gets a few pictures.
Trying to get a ride home from a party, Hawks misdials and gets Dabi. Dabi, thinking it'll be fun to see his "favorite hero" drunk out of his mind, agrees to help Hawks get home.
Things get a lot less fun when Dabi realizes Hawks isn't drunk.
