All before him were just tall, beautiful buildings, unfamiliar faces staring with shocked, displeased expressions and total silence. No maple-red robes, no teasing smirks and no one-eyed gazes full of adoration.

He wonders when Binghe will return.
Or: After years of marriage, Shen Qingqiu has forgotten how to be alone. So when Luo Binghe finally comes home from the demon realm and immediately drowns himself in paperwork, Shen Qingqiu—who has been quietly starving for his husband’s attention—does the only logical thing. He sits himself down in Binghe’s lap and refuses to move. Binghe continues writing. Shen Qingqiu finally gets some peaceful sleep.
