“Did Unc…” he cleared his throat, “Did your uncle really say those things?”
She bit her lip and nodded at the floor.
“That’s kind of messed up,” he said after a moment.
She nodded again with a little huff.
“He got hurt,” she said quietly, “He’s really mad at me.”
“I don’t think he hates you, though.”
She scoffed.
“How would you know?”Louie promised no more time travel, but this time it's not his fault, preteen Della is having her own problems, Donald just wants his macaroons, and the seconds are ticking down to midnight at an explosive New Years Eve party. Obligatory Louie & young Della adventure story to finish the set of time-traveling kids!

Summary
The red lights began moving without warning – resembling a hundred laser pointers, controlled by separate people but still eerily in sync – and they kept moving until they converged on Louie’s chest in a single red dot, like a target.
“I don’t think Uncle Donald worries enough,” Louie said, in a choked sort of voice that he couldn’t hear over his own heartbeat.
“Louie—” Huey’s frantic warning was cut off as the device beeped once – loudly – and the light on his chest abruptly turned blue.
Then the machine exploded.
