Summary

“Um…” Stede began, but as he let go of the door handle and slowly turned around, he found the man standing a step away from him, close enough to see the crinkled crow’s feet in the corners of his eyes. “The odd person here and there. No one important.”
“But important enough to make you believe you’re not cool?”
Stede Bonnet loses his house and all his clothes in a fire. But when he visits his local op shop for some affordable new fashion, Stede meets a beautiful man who helps him find his new look and so much more.

After months of recovering from depression, Stede wakes up one morning to find his legs wrapped into a tail! As it turns out, Ed has a whole day planned for his newfound merperson, and it turns into a day full of fun, laughter, sexy times, and again, talking it through.

The last thing Izzy Hands wants to do is to take part in a charity calendar for the fire station, especially if it's being organised by Ed Teach's boyfriend, Stede Bonnet. But after reluctantly agreeing, Izzy comes to terms with some unexpressed feelings, and he finds out that he may not hate this photo shoot as much as he thinks.

Stede watched the waves rise and fall. He watched the water crush each other, white against blue, before rippling out and settling into place. He watched the sun flickering through the clouds, shining mirrors onto the ocean and sparkling across the surface. But the sun would always go back to hide behind the clouds, never staying long enough to keep the world light.
Stede leaves work to sit alone at the pier, but after his boyfriend, Ed, finds and helps take him back to their home, lingering emotions rise to the surface, and Stede is reminded of the importance of talking it through.
